An unusual example of the International Style of architecture leading to Early Modern and is typified by the use of clean horizontal lines, flat roofs, light yellow brick, horizontal strip windows and deep roof overhangs. The church features a dramatic parabolic roof over the sanctuary, a design that was influenced by the work of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and the structural shell experiments of Mexican architect Felix Candela that influenced architects world-wide in the post-war period.
